Three students from Milan Middle School, in Milan, have been named local winners in the 56th annual America & Me Essay Contest, sponsored by Farm Bureau Insurance.

Detour Area Schools was recently awarded a $2,000 grant to fight childhood food insecurity by the Michigan Farm Bureau Family of Companies (MFBFoC) and Michigan Farm Bureau Agent Charitable Fund (ACF). Grant funds will be used to start a snack program for students in need.
