The Arrive Alive Tour® sponsored by the Carner Agency

The Carner Agency sponsored its 4th Arrive Alive event and Summerfield Hight School.

UNITE’s Arrive Alive Tour® is the nation’s number-one ranked drunk and distracted driving awareness event, as well as the first-and-only marijuana driving simulator in the country. The Arrive Alive Tour uses a high-tech, state-of-the-art simulator that allows participants to drive while distracted, drunk, or drugged in a fully functioning vehicle without moving or being impaired. The simulator allows participants to experience the real-life dangers without the real life consequences.  UNITE's Arrive Alive Tour is sponsored by the Carner Agency of Michigan Farm Bureau in partnership with Michigan Office of Highway Safety and Planning to bring this life changing event to Summerfield High School. The mission is to change these dangerous driving behaviors and save lives.  UNITE's Arrive Alive Tour, Michigan Office of Highway Safety and Planning, and Farm Bureau Insurance have partnered to launch The Arrive Alive Safe Driving Campaign throughout the state of Michigan. The goal is to educate teens on the dangers of distracted, drunk, and drugged driving to help keep the roads of Michigan safe. For information on scheduling an event in your area or if you have any additional questions on The Arrive Alive Tour, please call Nick Pitts at 888.436.3394 ext. 6386.

These results are crucial as they provide a snapshot of your community's current attitudes and behaviors toward distracted driving. We directly educated over 120 students in the driver seat of the Arrive Alive impaired/distracted driving simulator and collected 76 surveys from participants. The results indicate that distracted driving is a pressing issue, with 28.9% of survey respondents admitting to frequently or sometimes texting and driving. However, the event had a significant impact. After experiencing Arrive Alive, a remarkable 97.4% of participants pledged to never drive distracted, to think twice before doing so, and to warn others of the dangers of these behaviors.
